OVERWHELMED also introduces a special feature: the "Overheat".

A gauge fills up as you shoot, until it reaches 100%.

At that moment, you can no longer shoot, but you trigger your spaceship s special ability, allowing you to easily defeat waves of enemies for a limited time.
